Employment Contract Termination and End of Service
The Entry Permit is a certificate issued by the General Directorate of Residence and Foreigners Affairs - Dubai (“GDRFAD”), through DMCA, indicating that the personal documents submitted by the applicant have been verified, and he is permitted into the United Arab Emirates for a specified period of time, for employment. The permit is provisional and subject to approval by the authorised officer at the point of entry. It allows entry via Dubai airports only, providing that the passport shall be valid for not less than three months on arrival at the point of entry. Permit details shall be typed electronically, and obtaining an original copy is required to enter the United Arab Emirates through other points of entry.

After completing all required documents, employee’s service termination request will be approved by GDRFAD, and copy of the approved cancellation form along with the employee’s original passport will be given to the company, so that he can leave UAE or get a new job opportunity. The company shall notify DMCA of the date the employee leaves UAE and provide copy of exit stamp issued by GDRFAD – airport
The company shall apply for employment contract termination for an employee out of UAE provided that the company obtains the employee’s approval and delivers his original passport to DMCA. In case the original passport cannot be provided, the company shall provide exit certificate from GDRFAD proving that the employee has been out of UAE for 6 months.
