DMCA issues towing or relocating permits to authorise marine craft owners to have their marine crafts towed by a shipping company operating in the emirate, for maintenance purposes, registration or others.

The permit is valid through the towing period only and DMCA may change the set date according to weather conditions, or change the requested course in case currents projects or other events are in the same location.

Stages of Marine Craft Towing/Relocating Permit:

After completing all requirements, the marine craft towing/ relocating permit will be issued through the following one single stage.

Required Documents:

1. Filling the towing/ relocating application form.
2. Presenting original Emirates ID card, valid passport copy for UAE citizens, or original Emirates ID card, valid passport and residence visa copy for expatriates.
3. Valid copy of Dubai issued trade license, in case the owner is a company, in addition to the Emirates ID, valid passport and residence visa copy of the company’s shareholder.
4. Copy of title deed for free hold property owners to whom the residence law is not applicable.
5. Copy of original license for the registered marine craft in the UAE or copy of title deed or purchase invoice for unregistered crafts.
6. Original copy of marine craft construction certificate or any manufacturer or supplier document that includes marine craft details, for unregistered marine crafts.
7. Original copy of customs discharge certificate issued by the competent authorities in the emirate, for imported marine crafts.
8. Original cancelation certificate copy of marine craft registration from last authority with whom the marine craft was registered as cancelled.
9. Berthing permission at maintenance area if towing was for maintenance purposes.
10. Berthing permission issued by marina or one of the marine clubs if towing was for relocation purposes.
11. Commercial license copy of the towing company along with bearing all damage document.
12. License copy of towing marine crafts.
13. Copy of towing route map.
14. Copy of insurance policy valid through the towing period from an insurance company licensed to operate in the UAE.

Payment can be made in cash to the Customer Service Centers of Dubai Maritime City Authority or through portal electronic payment gateway.

From Sunday to Thursday 08:00 am till 01:00 pm

The service is not available during official holidays determined by the country.

Processing time varies depending on the nature of the procedure, inspection and marine Craft size.
